 Synopsis:

Rose Gardner is alone.  Again.  Twice widowed, with two well-adjusted grown children, Rose is at loose ends.  She decides to become a “successful woman” and enter the business world.  Keeping it secret from her children and friends, Rose opens a dating service for people over 60.  She believes this new venture will make her a worthwhile woman who counts for something in this world, and at the same time, help her find her own special someone with whom to spend the rest of her life.

Rose struggles to manage The Companion Club and the diverse characters who come to her dating service.  Olga, Rose's housekeeper, observes the whole process and makes the astute observation that Rose is so busy, she is missing out on opportunities for love herself.

The change in Rose's behavior baffles her best friend, Daisy Woods, upsets her children, Deborah and James Gardner, and makes her new attorney, Matthew Justice, very suspicious.  Walter Justice, Matt's father, becomes concerned about his son's involvement with this new business.  Some of them visit Rose's minister, Reverend Shepherd, to discuss in confidence their worries, leaving him extremely puzzled.  They all see the same events and circumstances, but interpret them quite differently, resulting in a comedy of errors.

Daisy is convinced Rose is losing her mind and has Alzheimer's, Deborah and James believe their mother has opened a brothel, Matthew thinks Rose is a mature gold digger going after his father through him, and Walter believes his son is being targeted by a con woman.   Rev. Shepherd doesn't know what to think!  Each one hides the information they have and attempts to resolve the perceived problem alone, crossing paths with one another along the way.

When Rev. Shepherd visits Rose to get to the bottom of things, Rose knows she must deal with the misunderstandings that have resulted from what she thought of as a harmless secret.
