Cigarettes, Jack Daniels and Movie Shoots Don’t Go Well Together

Back in the day when I could go shot for shot with Jack, or anybody else, there was a movie shoot where they needed me to smoke a cigarette and drink Jack Daniels. With a whole pile of people on the set and everything in place I was ready to go. I had a bottle of Jack Daniels and a pack of Marlboro cigarettes. They asked me if I wanted them to put some dark water in the Jack Daniels bottle, but I said not to worry about it. Doing many shots at that point in my life was pretty easy. There was one problem I did not consider though, and that was smoking. I was not a smoker at all. After the first few takes I started feeling the effects of everything. At about the fifth take I was getting my mirds wixed up, and every proceeding take after that was a total disaster. I don’t think that company ever hired me back. I apologized and stumbled back to the car trying to get a breath or two. The bottom line is don’t run your lines on Jack and cigarettes, because you won’t know jack.
