The Wrong Hong Kong
So Dukey gets this gig as an art connoisseur from some Hong Kong movie maker with words that are totally beyond his Bostonian vocabulary. He’s not sure exactly how he was hired, because there were many people going for the part. It was shot near downtown Los Angeles at the art museum, which has multi million dollar pieces hanging all over the walls. The place was packed full of police and security during the entirety of filming. Dukey memorized his lines to the best of his ability before the shoot took place. In his opinion, he nailed it on the first take. As he learned from his craft, overstating the tougher words does wonders to learn his lines. After completing a 7 to 10 minute scene in which he thought was dead-on , the Director wanted to shoot it again. The second take went pretty well too, but in his opinion it didn't quite match-up the first. He ended up doing about five or six takes with each one getting worse and worse. He started to laugh as he got lysdexic ah murds wixed up but the big-wigs from Asia did not think it was so funny. After a few hours they decided to use the first take anyway. To much jubilation, he was told he was done for the day, thank God. He hated every part of the movie. In fact he never even got a copy of it.
